A Soviet worker gets assigned a new car after waiting on a government list for ten years.
He goes to the state office, completes all the paperwork, pays in full, and the clerk tells him:
"Congratulations comrade! Everything is processed. You can pick up your car in exactly ten years."
The worker hesitates for a second and asks:
"Will that be in the morning or in the afternoon?"
The clerk, completely astonished, replies:
"Comrade, what difference does it make? It's ten years from today!"
The worker answers:
"Well, the plumber is coming in the morning."
